We’re barely on the eve of the highly anticipated public release of Kanye West’s (sidebar: happy bday boo!) fly new sneaker collab with Nike, the Air Yeezy 2. The sneakers hit shelves June 9 (a.k.a. tomorrow!!), and we’re sure the confirmed US release locations are already reinforcing their padlocks, clearing out floor space, and scheduling extra security for the official door openings. After those Foamposite Galaxy riots, you just can’t be too careful. Few have been lucky enough to lay a finger on the snakeskin textured upper or molded reptilian heel, but pre-orders for the headline-making sneakers have already found their way onto the eBay auction listings.
We’re not exactly sure who is posting these coveted kicks online. Or rather, why anyone who might have early access to the Air Yeezy 2s wouldn’t just buckle up that molded velcro, find the nearest paparazzo, and wear the living daylights out of ’em. Also, ride the fast lane to insta-sneakerhead fame. Whatever, to each his or her own. According to TMZ, one such priviledged Air Yeezy 2 insider has earned a cool $80,000+ on the shoes and is likely laughing all the way to the bank. We, however, don’t have that kind of guap to blow and refuse to camp anywhere we can’t plug our curling irons in, so we will continue to wait patiently for our gifted pairs which are undoubtedly in the mail/lost in customs limbo. RIGHT, YEEZY?? *BIG WINK, twiddles thumbs*
