Last week we asked everyone to show us the coolest ways you wear your hats, and boy, did you deliver! From fedoras to floppy felt ones to even a furry number, you guys showed us the best ways to literally top off your outfits. These insta-accessories serve as sun protectors, a potential disguise (hey, you never know who you're going to run into...) and are undoubtedly the easiest way to spice up an otherwise boring wardrobe. They've been all over the catwalks the past few seasons, but you definitely don't have to go all-out with oversized toppers a la Louis Vuitton FW12 or commit to the crazy floral hoods that stomped down the runway at Dolce and Gabbana in order to get in on the trend. Whether you decide to pair yours with a sundress, a miniskirt, or just blue jeans, these girls will teach you how put a lid on it.
Kat of Kats Love Fashion.
18-year-old student Kathleen (AKA Kat) says she lives in a "small, boring town in New Jersey," so she's been putting her free time to good use by repping her amazingly versatile style on her blog. The aspiring designer and future Pratt Institute student has rocked everything from prom dresses to knee socks, where she scored her last "Top Style Bloggers" feature. Now Kat's back again, this time with a super cute black hat. She pairs it with a long sleeved black tee, lace shorts, and polka dot tights for an easy seasonal transition outfit (it works just as well in the summer, sans stockings). Forget about the LBD for a second; right now, it's all about the LBH- little black hat.
Gabriela G. of Kolorowa Dusza
Here's the good news: 15-year-old blogger Gabriela always looks totally adorable and makes us want to copy her outfit, post after post. Here's the bad news: that's usually impossible, given the fact that she lives in Poland and it's impossible for us to hunt down some of her amazing wares. But that's okay, because she's given us plenty of outfit inspiration with her latest look. Reminding us of a style mashup between Alexa Chung and Jean Seberg, Gabriela sports high-waisted Vero Moda pants, a white top, and accessories by online high street retailer Romwe. Her '60s-inspired bowler hat is JUST SO CUTE, we might just have to hop the pond in order to score one for ourselves.
Nancie M. of Fashion Notebook
You definitely don't need to go over the top with fringe, neon, or ridiculous headdresses to stand out at at music festival, and Nancie is here to prove it. The Fashion Notebook blogger combined some key separates- including a floral romper, a black vest, a Chanel purse, and a straw hat- for a festival outfit we'd actually wear off the grounds, as well. We love how she mixed high and low pieces and kept things casual with basic t-strap sandals. Nicely done!
Editor's note: MTV Style is obsessed with style blogs that show off your outfits. Every Thursday, we pick our favorite looks from the week and show them off here. Next week our theme is SUNGLASSES! Send pics of you sporting your favorite hats to email@example.com or message us on Twitter @mtvstyle!
