Is there anything more awesome than seeing a Hollywood couple that look like they really, truly, puppy-doggily dig each other? Celebrities, they're just like us, right? No, because we're not Emma Stone and our boyfriend isn't Andrew Garfield. The Amazing Spider-Man co-stars and real life couple took to the Movie Awards to show us what real love is all about, and also to present and accept some awards (no big). Sidebar: We maybe (totally) cried during Emma's acceptance speech for the first ever Trailblazer award. *Single tear rolls down cheek* MOVING ON. While on the red carpet, Emma and Andrew told Special Style Correspondent Kat Graham that they do work together to coordinate their outfits, typically using whatever Emma is wearing as the springboard for Andrew's sartorial accompaniments. How totally cute, right? We loved the couple's Movie Awards style, with Emma in a black and cream Martin Grant dress, nude and black Brian Atwood pumps, and Tiffany & Co. jewels. Andrew showed the dudes how to do not-too-casual-but-totally-cool in Prada. Take notes, ladies and gentlemen and check out some ultra cute couple moments in this All Access Live clip:
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield present the award for Breakthrough Performance.
Emma, who, in addition to the Trailblazer award, was also nominated for Best Female Performance and Best Kiss for her role in Crazy, Stupid, Love. (which went to Jennifer Lawrence and K.Stew and RPatz, respectively), paired her architectural cocktail dress with a super simple updo, pink lip and black eyeliner, which allowed the structure of the frock to really stand out. Also, we obviously love a good peplum. The look is modern and elegant--daring but definitely classy. Not exactly a less is more look, Emma's style is all about balance.
Although we always encourage couples to maintain their unique personal style even though they're in a relationship, it was nice that Emma and Andrew's duds were somewhat complimentary. Decked out in Prada, Andrew dressed down (and snazzed up) the slacks and button down look with a fitted (but not too tight), short sleeved shirt, diagonal striped tie, grey slacks and brown laceless wing tips. We also can't forget his signature cocky smirk and perfectly mussed coif, which are the perfect accent to a dashing outfit. Swoon.
As the two joked and flirted their way through their gig as presenters of the Best Breakout Performance award, which went to The Descendants' Shailene Woodley who looked amaze in a Stella McCartney pants suit, it was totally obvious that the pair had real chemistry. We couldn't get enough. Hurray for love!
