Nicki Minaj Or Katy Perry: Who Wore A Futuristic Head-To-Toe Pink Ensemble Better?

Ever since we peeped Nicki Minaj’s Pepsi campaign photo last week, we just couldn’t stop thinking about her head-to-toe bubblegum pink metallic space age ensemble. Then, her commercial debuted today, and it hit us—she is TOTALLY channeling Katy Perry’s bright pink futuristic outfit from the American Music Awards last fall! Now that we’ve put the photos side by side, we can’t help but gush over our style sleuthing. From the hair to the lips to the dress, EVERYTHING is doused in a shades of pink that are undeniably the same. In the commercial, Nicki wore a structured sparkly ensemble with statement shoulders (just like Katy!) and a light pink paneled bustier. She paired her fierce frock with shiny metallic leggings and matching high-top sneakers. She sported a Snooki-approved pouf in her cascading cotton candy-colored hair with matching lipstick.

Katy Perry channeled Judy Jetson (one of her biggest self-proclaimed style icons!) in a latex and chiffon gown created by her stylist Johnny Wujek. Her form-fitting top is also accented with light pink, but she opted for a longer, flowing skirt to add a bit of softness to her structured ensemble. She also wore a sky-high pomp, but she channeled more of a retro pin-up girl for a past-meets-the-future look. Even though we dig both out-of-this-world outfits, we have to say that Nicki’s ensemble looks a WEE bit more wearable than Katy’s. I meannnn, maybe it’s just us, but we can’t imagine trying to squeeze into a latex dress, like, ever, but what do you think?
