HelloGiggles Guest Post: BFF Tips For Prom

As far as we know, Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps have never attended a prom together, but this is what it might have looked like if they did.

It's prom week, and there are so many things to think about, from the perfect dress to the perfect date and sparkly accessories, and so we enlisted the help of our besties at HelloGiggles to share their infinite wisdom with us. Site co-founder Sophia Rossi is an expert BFF, so we asked her to write about the most important accessory you might have forgotten--your BFF.

Prom is just around the corner and I'm sure you're all wondering what this thirty-something year old inner tween thinks about prom, right? Prom is one the most important nights in a teenager's life and Hellogiggles wants you to know that you have our support. Your biggest support system, always, should come from your BFF (we are willing to act as your BFF now). I will tell you my three basic tips because I tend to be bossy yet informative at all times. Also, I went to prom with my best guy friend and it was truly the best experience ever, but enough about me..

Calm Down...

Prom tends to bring out this inner diva in some people, and it's important as a BFF to tell your BFF to calm down. Try and help your friend get a healthy perspective on the night. Prom is a night to make memories with some friends you might not see for awhile, not about having the best updo. Remind your friend that they look beautiful.

Designated Mom

I don't want to assume that there will be drinking involved during your Prom experience, but if there is, assign someone to be the MOM. The mom of the group has some simple duties, like, if anyone gets sick they take care of them and don't let their friends make any mistakes with boys who don't like them.

Take Pictures

Listen, I'm sure you guys don't need me to teach you about the importance of this, but I do want to remind you of a few things. Take as many pictures as possible with people you are not close with. We know you have your friends covered, but trust me, you will want pictures with Andy from AP science because honestly he one day might invent some crazy thing and then it will make sense.
