Back in November, online clothing retailer ModCloth launched a contest for aspiring designers and fans to submit sketches of garments they wanted to see made into REAL LIFE pieces. After the top picks were voted on via Facebook, ModCloth got to work and debuted the garments online just this week. Which means—YES, YOU CAN BUY THEM RIGHT NOW. Eeeee! The pieces in the Make The Cut collection include everything from a cocktail-ready tulle dress to a breezy floral ruffled top. Some of our favorite frocks from the collection include a strappy navy polka dot dress, a bright gold scalloped-edge number with a blue belt, and a pretty red and white vintage-inspired frock.

We don’t know about you guys, but this whole user-submitted design thing is amazing. To think that an idea you have for a dress can actually come to fruition without any production cost on your part is pret-tay sweet. Also, haiii, this means any of us can become designers! The coolest part, though, is seeing how it all comes together. ModCloth documented the making of the collection every step of the way, starting at the factory and making its way all the way into the writer’s room. The Make The Cut collection ranges from $39.99 to $159.99, and word on the street is that a holiday-themed contest will launch this summer. Get those ideas rolling, ladies!
