What do you get when you gather high fashion, le cinema, downtown lovelies, and a gazillion roses into one stylishly spring bouquet? A Chanel-hosted party in honor of the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC! The “Artists Dinner” brought a bevy of bright young things to the Odeon restaurant in Tribeca to celebrate all things frock, film, and floral—literally—and everyone from actresses Camilla Belle and Liv Tyler to model Poppy Delevigne were there to toast a warmer season in their best flower-printed finery. What’s more, these ladies rocked their girly ensembles with the freshest scents of gnarliness.
Camilla Belle chose a calf-length white Prada dress covered in blue roses. This look may have veered more towards prim uptown lady were it not for the netted overlay which gives the dress an edgier feel, especially along the arms. We love that she paired it with royal blue, close-toed Rupert Sanderson heels, sleek hair, delicate earrings, pale lips, and the boldest brows this side of the Mississippi. Model Poppy Delevigne always looks lovely and ladylike, but we especially love that she chose to throw a buttery soft black leather moto jacket over this Spring 2012 Chanel mega mini dress with a generous dappling of flowers along the neckline. We’re officially wearing leather jackets over anything and everything sleeveless from here on out (or until we’re sweatin’ the summer sunshine.) *Hat tip* to the braided undo, petite pastel purse, and silver ballet slippers which go with absolutely everything.
Last but not least, Liv Tyler waltzed atop the black carpet looking like a dignified bohemian princess (albeit one who frolics amidst the concrete paradise that is New York City) in a flowing, floor-length, floral maxi-dress underneath a cream trench coat, and strappy black sandals. With sweeping fringe, lined eyes, pale pink lips and a classic interlocking C’s bag, we can’t help but want to bow to this urban faerie and suggest she throw some Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen nail stickers up into this gossamer mix. Are we getting a little too Lord of the Rings-y for your taste? Tough. Princess Arwen—we mean LIV—is still the fairest fairy of them all, especially when covered head-to-toe in a sylvan blossom wonderland.
