How Do One Direction's Doll Outfits Measure Up?

We knew it was only a matter of time before this happened. New Kids on the Block had them. *NSYNC put out a few of their own. And now, following in their many boy band predecessors' footsteps, One Direction has watched their likenesses be molded out of plastic for their own set of collectible fashion dolls. That's right, Directioners. Now, you can have your very own miniature Harry, Liam, Niall, Louis, and Zayn to cuddle with and/or trap in a transparent case for all eternity!! *attempts to quell manic crazy eyes* But the One Direction dudes have such distinct, defining personal styles. How could toy replicas of their hallmark fashion ever measure up? We examine.

HARRY STYLES

The boy has "style" in his name, so naturally he's always dressed to the nines. Harry is known for his ivy league chic with crested blazers, tucked in shirts, and dabbling in the occasional pocket square. His fashion doll holds very little back sartorially, with a tweed blazer, collar turned up, accent lining exposed by rolled up sleeves, exquisite layering and a sharp pair of brown oxfords. We're a little disappointed his signature hair is rendered in plastic, but we suppose that would be a lot to ask. Also, the choice of jeans here is a little unexpected, but perhaps this is "casual Harry" dropping by to accompany you at the breakfast bar for a spot of tea.

NIALL HORAN

Niall's doll likeness is pretty much a dead ringer for the real dude. His sweepy hair, high top sneakers, casual cotton top, all fit in line with Niall's real life style. Again, we're a little taken aback by the denim, but maybe this is an effort to make them more relatable/comfortable.

LIAM PAYNE

Liam's doll rocks the tippy top button that is such a favorite for the real life Liam, but the shirt looks a little too big for the poor guy. Real Liam usually appears to be sewn into his garments, so it's a little jarring to see him swimming in this chambray button up. We imagine it's because engineering buttons that are both small enough to accurately reflect that kind of fit but also big enough for human fingers to fasten is a nearly impossible feat.

LOUIS TOMLINSON

Louis Tomlinson's doll is just about as accurate as you can get with one of these things. It replicates the signature Louis nautical look with navy and white stripes, relaxed cuffed khakis, and easy slip-on shoes. We only wish they had outfitted him with teeny tiny suspenders, too, but alas. We can't have everything, and we know he doesn't always wear them. Just very very often.

ZAYN MALIK

Zayn Malik is arguably the biggest style star in One Direction. (Yea, we said it.) His effortless oscillation between varsity jackets and crisp skinny lapeled blazers. How he jumps from high-tops to desert boots to low-rise Chucks and back again. *swoon* He's our spirit animal. That said, we probably developed some unnecessarily lofty expectations for his fashion doll. We're not saying we've never seen Zayn in a pair of Timbs before, but we definitely wouldn't consider them as THE shoes in which we outfit his plastic replica. We are, however, very much obsessed with his teeny varsity jacket and wish the doll came with a life-size one for us. Which One Direction doll do you think got the real life fashion right?
