Trending At Coachella 2012: Crop Tops, Band Tees, And Sheer

This past weekend, bohemian music-lovers unfurled in droves upon Indio, California for this year's first installment of the annual Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival. Coachella first weekend brought amazing weather, a Tupac hologram, and of course, fabulous fashions. The pretty young things in attendance and gracing the stages like Rihanna, Azealia Banks, and Kat Graham turned it out with trendy crop tops, vintage tees, and touches of sheer.

If you're planning on spending the weekend in a desert, chances are good you're going to get a little hot. Naturally, crop tops were everywhere at Coachella. Seen both on stage via Rihanna's "PEACE" pull-on and Azealia's Beetlejuice-striped bralette and getting down in the audience like Vanessa Hudgens and Dree Hemingway's tiny tops, we forsee a major explosion for the belly-baring separates as temperatures rise. Just be sure to wear them with something high-waisted to balance them out!

What would a music festival be without a healthy dose of vintage t-shirts? This is a big year for the band tee, and Kat Graham, Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino, and Sleeper Agent's Alex Kandel were among the concert staple's star-spangled revival at Coachella this year. Rough up the sleeves or neckline with scissors and pair it with light-washed denim for an ultra-'90s look.

Turn to another big spring/summer trend - SHEER - for when you're hot but want to stay a little covered up. Florence Welch, Ke$ha, and Grace Potter all employed this sartorial secret at Coachella this weekend. Flo may have been clad in predominantly Hannah Marshall velvet, but a panel of chiffon right along the collarbone surely kept things ventilated, especially beneath the sweltering stage lights. Ke$ha and Grace both opted for a more committed approach to sheer, throwing long flowy blouses over punchy lingerie for a flirty peekaboo effect. Which is your favorite Coachella trends so far?
