Just when we thought Kanye West’s elusive “Air Yeezy 2” sneaker was just a pipe dream, Nike FINALLY released its first public production of the shoe. Streething got the scoop and showered us with amazing up-close images of the highly-anticipated sneaker, which Kanye actually sported at the 2011 VMAs (see above) and rocked last fall in black. The original “Air Yeezy” hit stores in April 2009, so fans have been waiting THIS long for the second shoe debut. Yeah, yeah we know ’Ye has been a wee bit busy, you know, working on those high fashion collections in Paris, but we cannot wait to see these bad boys in real life. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

From peeping Streething’s AMAZING images, we can already tell the “Air Yeezy 2″ has some crazy new features that the last pair lacked, like that futuristic rippled heel. The shoes, called “Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum,” are similar in overall shape to the last sneaker, but they upped the florescent green on the glow-in-the-dark sole and added some Egyptian hieroglyphics on the underside of the velcro strap. The mostly grey sneaks feature a touch of red peeking out from inside the shoe and flash of metal on the tips of the laces. The tongue of the shoe is made from Performance Torch fabric, while the rest of the sneaker features nylon mesh, suede, and (how could you miss it?) snake skin. If you want to get your hands on a pair, you better start saving up fast! The shoes hit stores and online at LimitedEdt.com on April 13. Good luck, and let’s hope these sneakers don’t cause riots like those Foamposite Galaxy shoes. *crosses fingers*
