Oh haiii, Lana Del Rey. We see you there at the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability in your glam, wintery get-up, but we have some questions about this outfit, Ms. Rey. First off, a fur coat...to an environmental event? *side eye* We're PRAYING this jacket is vintage in hopes that people don't pelt her with paint because, um, it's a wee bit offensive (we don't want to get all preachy on you, but here's why), and this ensemble seems better suited for NYC weather. We have to say, though, that's we're REALLY into this printed sheer button-up shirt and giant Versace Medusa chain combo, but then as we move down the outfit, we realize she paired it with...dark jeans and Converse sneakers. Oh.
We're not opposed to jeans and sneakers, but we're super confused as to why she's SO glam and dressed-up on top and weekend-casual on the bottom. The two together don't seem to mesh, especially since her hair and makeup are done up to the max. We would've loved to see Lana tuck this blouse into a high-waisted black pencil skirt with some sheer black tights and platforms. If she's already going to turn heads in a super luxe fur number, why not just go ALL OUT? Either way, Lana is a total beaut who we adore, but girl has got to change up her pants game. Look! This pencil skirt only costs around $25, and it goes with literally everyyything. So what do you think, Lana? Are you willing to start swapping out those blue jeans for skirts?
