If there’s any young star truly charming both Hollywood and the fashion world at the moment, it’s Chloë Grace Moretz. Not only does she star in Tim Burton’s vampire film, Dark Shadows, she’s still riding the enormous Oscar-nominated tidal wave that is Hugo, in which she also stars. Throw in numerous red carpet style slayings, a penchant for Chanel, and newly tinted pink hair (which set the internet ablaze with coverage), and she’s a match made in photo op heaven. Now there’s a major fashion house in the mix too. Max Mara has just awarded Chloë the “2012 Women In Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award.” Whoa, that’s a mouthful. Also, whoa, what IS this?
The 2012 Women In Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award (which I’m hereby abbreviating to W.I.F.M.M.F.F Award or just THE AWARD), is given to an actress of outstanding achievement, style, and grace, which Chloë has—literally. (Her middle name is Grace, y’know.) Not only will she be honored at a Beverly Hills event on June 12, she will travel to Italy for Milan Fashion Week to attend Max Mara’s Fall 2012 Sportmax show on Feb. 25. While it’s undoubtedly fun to be flown overseas to attend a European fashion show, we’re guessing it’s also pretty cool to be singled out by the Women in Film organization, which is dedicated to preserving the legacy of women—and their hard work—within the entertainment, communications, and media industries. Essentially, it’s all about GIRL POWER, which we will always get behind, and it’s fitting that this year’s recipient is not only talented and stylish but Kick-Ass too. Congrats, Chloë M!
