Pssst, Kanye West is in the U.K.! He was spotted out and about in London recently wearing his fave silhouette—namely layers over pants, which we've seen before—as well as a coterie of denim and a whisper of mint green. As you might already be aware (that is, if you follow Yeezy's every fashion move like we do in a somewhat maniacally rabid way), KW is set to show his second KANYE WEST collection at Paris Fashion Week on March 6. So, what is he doing in London? Does any of this have to do with his own line? Also, what in the name of Azzedine Alaïa is going on with his creative conglomerate, DONDA?
Kanye employed a former student of London's prestigious Central St. Martin's College to help design his first collection, so perhaps he's in town to oversee production on his second collection. Before we knew he'd be showing in Paris again, we wondered if he'd change locales and choose to show in the much more street-style-savvy London, but it appears that he wants to keep it elite. Still, we wonder if he's showing support for cutting-edge London designers like Mark Fast (who is actually Canadian but studied at Central St. Martins) for a reason or if he just likes hanging out front row at shows. He attended Fast's show wearing faded jeans, an Acne mint green sweater, weathered Balmain denim jacket, multiple chains, and his ubiquitous, haphazard-laced Nike Air Yeezy 2s. He was seen out and about in a pair of faded jeans, too, layered with a denim shirt tied around his waist and topped with a white T-shirt and white tuxedo jacket for that extra bit of debonair flair. But, really, what is KW doing in London? And what can we expect to see at his second KANYE WEST show? As usual, we have so many questions and will invoke the #PowerOfDonda to speculate on the creative greatness that is sure to come.
