You may know Asher Levine for creating those to-die-for leather pieces for Lady Gaga (um, oversized motorcycle jacket anyone?), but the menswear designer has come a long way since his big 2010 debut. We stopped by his fall 2012 presentation, and we were immediately engulfed into his dimly-lit, post apocalyptic world filled with military-style jumpsuits, light-up helmets, and futuristic sunglasses. He carried over some of the alien-esque accents from last season (think: rubber tentacles and claws), but what mostly caught our eye were the glowing MakerBot printers busily working in the back of the room.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the 3D MakerBot printer. This bad boy can actually print ANYTHING you create in 3D and slowly has been making its way into the fashion world (remember that printed bikini from last summer?). It's open source software meaning anyone can build/create/modify this printer for themselves at whatever cost they can afford. Basically: Yay, 3D printing for everyone! Asher took this idea and applied it to his collection by printing tech-y glasses DURING the show.

In a close-up shot of the printer, you can see the layers upon layers of 3D printing that is happening here. Technology is kind of beautiful, right? The best part is that Asher plans to release the files to make the exact same sunglasses at home. That means, at no extra cost, you can sport some Asher Levine designer shades of your own, well, if you can your hands on a 3D printer. (See: The red ones below.) And juuuuust when we thought our brains were going to explode from all this #nerdfashion goodness, we couldn't help but notice the DJ playing some Xerox-remixed jams.

We thought we were going crazy, but nope! It was totally true. DJ Jet Black mixed sounds recorded from the 3D printer with some electro beats for an all-encompassing tech-meets-fashion musical experience. We even recorded some of it below (VERY TERRIBLY, we might add) so you can get in on all the action!
