One of the most buzzed about record releases of the new year has finally hit record stores nationwide today. That’s right, Lana Del Rey’s hotly anticipated Born to Die is finally available for public consumption, scrutiny, and enjoyment. Coinciding with the widely anticipated album drop is a pair of deliciously richesse, Bond girl-esque shoots for the February issues of both German and Russian editions of Interview magazine. This bad girl Brigitte Bardot look with a heavy liquid cat eye and deep auburn tresses teased WAY up on her crown is used on both covers but with slightly different treatments. Don’t be fooled by the overlap, though; this is but one of a host of gorgeous time-traveling ’60s glamour shots brought to us by the international branches of Interview. Walk (or y’know, click) with us!

We were WONDERING when someone was going to dress Lana in Prada’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection! In the secret magazines we style in our heads, we’d been dreaming about swaddling the gangster Nancy Sinatra in one of the Thunder Road-esque pieces of this collection. The sight of Del Rey in this hot rod-speckled frock plus that grandiose flowing mane for Russian Interview is satiating so many of our editiorial hopes and dreams. Also, the addition of a fresh cigarette and that frou frou long-hair maltese brings the entire look up to OG real housewife status.

YOWZA! This snap of Lana in this cream tailored one-piece bodysuit by Rochas completely took our breath away at first glance. The perfect fit to where bish looks sewn into it by a team of nimble-fingered on-set seamstresses. The skinny tan croc belt. The impeccable nude stiletto nails. That high, HIGH side-parted hair. Ugh. We can just see her silhouetted in opening credits, encircled by the barrel of a gun.

German Interview includes this close-up beauty shot of the bumblebee perched atop Lana’s lips. Get it?? Like the BUZZ around her lips?! *wink wink elbow elbow* … *sigh* Zo clever. ANYHOW, it’s a flat out beautiful shot, and a pretty obligatory one for inclusion given all the hubbub circling this girl’s pout. We suspect a spike in sales of Tom Ford lipsticks, especially in this pale Nude Vanille shade.
