Every winter when the Sundance Film Festival rolls around, we usually spot celebs bundled up in same old puffy coats, furry hats, and over-sized knit sweaters. Even Emma Roberts fell victim to the one-trick-pony jeans and cropped jacket ensemble last year, but this season she stepped up her style game (and stayed warm) in a long-sleeved pansy-printed jersey bodycon dress from Topshop. Em’s dress has a plain black palette behind the floral print, but you can snatch up the same thing with neon stripes for only $60 on Topshop right this second! Talk about an easy way to brighten a cold winter day.
We like the bold neon stripes paired with the flowers because, I mean, haiii, mixing prints is HUGE right now. Plus, don’t those thick stripes totally scream Prada Spring 2011? We definitely think so, which is why we’re sososo in love with this piece. This frock is great for a no brainer I-wanna-be-cozy-but-still-look-cute-in-the-workplace ensemble. Plus, the bold pattern makes accessorizing easy—you don’t need any! At all! Emma paired her dress with opaque black tights, lace-up booties, and a bold red lip, which complements her mostly black outfit nicely, but you don’t even have to sport a crimson pout like her. This dress is a vision on its own. And (like you need even more convincing) if you think a $60 frock won’t make you look like a million bucks, check out Emma’s Topshop dress she wore at the British Independent Film Awards last year. See? You don’t have to go broke to be red carpet ready!
