You know your day is off to a fine start when David Beckham shows up in your inbox nakie. There you are, simultaneously clutching your coffee while attempting to push up your leaden eyelids when he pops up in all his shirtless, tattooed glory as if to say, "Ease up on the coffee, Miss, and don't forget to tell your mum how much you love her." Well, a good day to you, too, kind sir! In all honesty, I probably know a little too much about the life and times of David Robert Joseph Beckham, OBE. Not that I'm a rabid soccer fan or anything, but the dude is LEGEND. Besides being married to my second favorite Spice Girl, who I might also add, happens to have designed one of the cutest cat dresses on zee planet, he is devoted to both his family and his job. Also, he isn't afraid to change up his haircut and supports several charities. And as if his perfectly chiseled porcelain plate wasn't full enough, Mr. Beckham endeavors to revolutionize the world of men's underwear with his new David Beckham Bodywear collection for H&M.

In the first installment of what will be a "long-term partnership" with the Swedish retail chain, Beckham and his in-house design team created nine underwear styles inspired by pieces in his wardrobe. Beckham says, "Collectively with my design team we spent time working on the feel, fit, and style to ensure the product is not only something I would wear but one which I would be proud to put my name to." Becks is so committed to getting his collection right that he spent 18 months researching and developing products deemed "David's new classics."

I'll tell you what's classic: a slightly gelled, side-combed mini pompadour paired with 5 o'clock shadow, a slight chin dimple, religious tattoo depicting a dying man being lifted by three baby cherubs, the perfect man-tank, tighty boxers, and distended thigh muscles. Those are David's classics right there. But, seriously, we need to applaud this underwear line. Body wear for men is often an area of fashion that people ignore, but the menfolk deserve just as much attention to their undergarments as the ladies. I think it's high time someone designed the perfect pair of long johns for our dudes, and Beckham and H&M have achieved this (which is even better knowing that they were designed with David's actual body in mind to fill them, but that's neither here nor there). Anyway, like I was saying, it's a good day today! And it will be a GREAT day when these boxer briefs and tanks arrive at H&M stores (and online) on Feb. 2 to make our guys just as magnanimously handsome, dignified, goal-oriented, and sweet enough to bring home to mom. Carry on and pip pip!
