No one is denying that Demi Lovato is a beautiful girl, both inside and out. On top of being impossibly gorgeous, her bravery and candidness in discussing her survivor story are a beacon of hope and strength for many, many Lovatics. While Demi usually prefers a more boho chic look—clad in ethereal frocks, loose tendrils, Jeffrey Campbell platforms, and dripping in silver jewelry—we've spotted her dipping her toes in more glamorous bombshell waters from time to time. In a curveball move, though, Demi's look for her shoot with Glamour magazine is less "Jessica Rabbit" and more "just got out of the shower and air-dried my hair," a move we can totally get behind because our jaws dropped in awe at this photo.

The glossy's decision to style Demi au naturel is both striking and refreshing. Though we admit we're the first to incite rousing standing O for an expertly applied cat-eye, we also bend in exaltation when someone has the ladyswag cojones to go bare-faced and let her natural waves loose, let alone do it for a MAGAZINE in a picture that will live forever in print and on the interwebz. D tells Glamour her usual beauty routine consists of "[c]oncealer, foundation, blush, mascara," adding, "I can feel glamorous without makeup too, especially on my lips. They’re naturally reddish, so I often let them go." To which this slave to eyeliner with a diagnosed curling iron dependency says, "TEACH ME, SENSEI" while maniacally exfoliating in hopes of replicating her soft caramel glow. In all seriousness, Demi drops a few pearls of style/life wisdom, revealing to the mag how she defines beauty: "Having strength and confidence in yourself. I think that women who know who they are are beautiful." #preach
