Yes, you read that title correctly, but let us state it again. YOU GUYS, according to the Telegraph UK, the ENTIRE MARC JACOBS spring 2012 collection was STOLEN from a train in Paris!!! ZUT ALORS, this sounds like a crazy dramatic heist film involving a man in a kilt, dozens of screaming PR ladies in tailored ready-to-wear, and a dastardly masked bandit running around somewhere with dozens of actual samples of yet-to-be-produced SPRING PIECES floating in his/her midst! We're talking all of those AMAZING theatrical rockabilly pieces (i.e., gingham shirts and plastic skirts) are just out there SOMEWHERE floating around. I mean, WHAT IS GOING ON?! News of this fashion crime hit press inboxes with the following statement: "The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day in the Marc Jacobs store is cancelled, due to the theft of the spring/summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris." This is mayyyyjah, people. These pieces have yet to go into production, which makes us wonder.... Will the spring/summer 2012 Marc Jacobs collection ever be, GASP, produced? Stay tuned...
