No, you have not gone back in time, and no the biggest SUPERMODELS of the nineties have not started their own space-rock band. We're here to tell you that the SUPES have RETURNED!! In all their glorious model revelry! The December issue of Harper's Bazaar UK is making FASHION HISTORY (we'll get to this in a moment) with an all-supermodel cover featuring the biggest models of the grunge decade, namely Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Yasmin Le Bon, and Eva Herzigova dressed as Duran Duran. What makes this all so unprecedented is that this photo shoot is actually for a short film/music video for the band's new song, "Girl Panic," directed by Jonas Akerlund who did Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video (so you know it's gonna be something special). Also? These supermodels look RAD and are aging like fine wines.

Bazaar is calling this pairing, "The ultimate fashion, music, and film collaboration," and not only have they brought this video to life in the pages of the magazine, they've created the first augmented reality cover (you have to download an app to see it). The story follows Cindy Crawford (mega shout out to the ORIGINAL host of MTV House Of Style!!!!) riding around in a Rolls Royce while the remaining supes take on the Duran Duran persona. Looks like Naomi plays lead singer Simon Le Bon (married to supe Yasmin Le Bon, obvs), and she wears a MAJOR bespoke velvet suit with satin braid by Edward Sexton that recalls the heyday of Tom Ford when he designed for Gucci. Cindy also wears a silver waistcoat and trousers suit by Sexton (he does Herzigova and Le Bon's suits, too). Helena Christensen makes our faces melt a little with how insanely GORGE she is, especially sitting at that drum kit wearing Ralph Lauren. If there's already been a prophecy that models are returning to the covers of magazines, this seals the deal, y'all.
