'Gossip Girl' Fashion: Who Looked Best Last Night?
This fifth season of Gossip Girl is still slowly rolling out, establishing relationship changes, tying up loose ends left untended over the summer break. Serena (Blake Lively) runs into her "cousin" Charlie (Kaylee DeFer) (quotation marks because as you'll remember from Season 4, Charlie is actually an actress named Ivy hired by Serena's aunt to protect her real daughter from the CRAY-ZEE world of the über-privileged Upper East Side elite) and convinces her to go apartment shopping. Nate (Chace Crawford) finally tracks down Diana Payne (Elizabeth Hurley) who he had been infatuated with since mistakenly giving her a tour of her own L.A. pad. but there's something shady about Miss Payne and poor lovestruck Nate may just be a pawn in her master plan. Lonely Boy Dan (Penn Badgley) is proving unsuccessful on his hunt for his leaked secret manuscript and enlists the aid of Chuck (Ed Westwick), though it's not as if Bass doesn't have problems of his own. Longtime Bass on-again-off-again flame Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) meets her soon-to-be sister-in-law and reveals yet another stressor in her wedding plans.
