Elle Fanning, Alexa Chung, and Dianna Agron at The Alexa Chung For Madewell Fall 2011 Collection launch on Sept. 21.
Remember when Alexa Chung modeled her Fall 2011 Madewell collection and we were all, “Awww, she looks ADORABLE! We want EVERYTHING when it comes out.” Well, apparently a lot of other people felt the same way. When her collection hit the Madewell.com website yesterday, it crashed due to the high demand. While we’re not surprised that people are clamoring for Alexa Chung’s self-designed duds, today it seems that her items are ALREADY hitting eBay selling at double the retail price. Yowza! Luckily, we found some of our most beloved Madewell pieces (worn by some of our fave celebs!) that are all still available to purchase online. But HURRY!!! Seriously guys, this stuff won’t last long.
Elle Fanning at The Alexa Chung For Madewell Fall 2011 Collection launch on Sept. 21.
Elle Fanning sported a long-sleeve white lace overlay dress paired with sky-high platform shoes to the The Alexa Chung For Madewell launch party. We love how this frock can be dressed up or down, and we’re still jealous that Elle’s the best dressed 13-year-old we’ve ever seen.
Alexa Chung at The Alexa Chung For Madewell Fall 2011 Collection launch on Sept. 21.
Lady of the hour Alexa Chung wears her self-designed navy and brown palm tree print skater dress (Sold out! Sadface.), paired with a black suede motorcycle jacket, and leopard print booties (also long gone). We can think of a million and one outfits we’d wear this moto with!
Dianna Agron at The Alexa Chung For Madewell Fall 2011 Collection launch on Sept. 21.
Glee’s Dianna Agron sports a burnt sienna Madewell safari dress, which isn’t from Alexa Chung’s collection but still totally adorable (and in stock!). She finished her look with a belt and uh-mazing patterned T-strap platforms. This midi dress is SO work-ready it’s ridic.
Kate Bosworth, Busy Philipps, and Holland Roden at The Alexa Chung For Madewell Fall 2011 Collection launch on Sept. 21.
Alexa didn’t launch her collection without a few other stylish friends joining her on the big day: Kate Bosworth stunned in a high-collar printed shift dress and loose waves; Busy Philipps went mod in a orange, black, and brown ’60s-inspired mini and black pumps; and Teen Wolf’s Holland Roden rocked head-to-toe Madewell in a silk chiffon printed top and romantic beige circle skirt.
Amanda Seyfried, Tennessee Thomas, and Zelda Williams at The Alexa Chung For Madewell Fall 2011 Collection launch on Sept. 21.
Amanda Seyfried was a vision in an all black and white ensemble—a polka dot blouse, black shorts, black heels, and a pop of red on her lips. The Like drummer Tennessee Thomas looked comfy in Alexa’s sold-out printed Madewell pajama set and leopard booties, while Zelda Williams went chic in a sheer chiffon blouse, black skirt, black boots, and gold belt.
