The Charlotte Ronson show is without fail one of the most anticipated of Fashion Week each season. Her edgy femme aesthetic and free-spirited nature make her designs some of the most sought-after and celebrated in the fashion community and are what have big names like Kelly Osbourne and Whitney Port banging down her door for pieces. This season was no exception as a star-studded front row (including Angela Simmons, Nicky Hilton, Holland Roden, and Kelly and Whitney, of course – peep photos here!) filed in to catch a first glimpse at Ronson’s newest collection.

We caught up with Charlotte Ronson after the show to talk about her newest designs. Inspired by a twenties quirky chic, Ronson used a lot of higher necklines, longer hemlines, smaller collars, lace and crochet. The collection was markedly feminine, as is signature to the brand, but the mixed prints, layering, and thick belted choker necklaces toughened up the silhouettes.

Major schooling in the art of mixing prints happened up and down Ronson’s runway as the prints, though varied, employed the EXACT same color palette (okay, naturally – she did design each whole look, after all) which kept the ensembles cohesive and fashion forward without looking like someone got into a fight with their wardrobe and lost.

True to Charlotte’s “no muss, no fuss” beauty attitude, the makeup was fresh-faced and dewy with a focus on long-lashed doe-eyes. The hair was also very natural: low, loose ponytails with deep side parts and a complete embrace of fly-aways. No tonsorial shellacking backstage at the Ronson show! With design aesthetic so honest and relatable, it’s no wonder Charlotte has experienced such tremendous success. Her designs are easily translatable from day to night to red carpet to weekend, and we don’t forsee the Ronson omnipresence going away any time soon.
