Patricia Field’s Fashion’s Night Out: Lions And Tigers And Diamond Encrusted Sharks, Oh My!

When you’re spending Fashion’s Night Out at Patricia Field, you have no choice but to step out in the tightest zebra pants you can find. RESPECT. Tonight I had the honor of hitting TWO House of Field Fashion’s Night Out parties—both hosted by Miss F herself, of course—at the Patricia Field Boutique AND the new Veselka restaurant in downtown NYC. It was a night of art and fashion that only Pat could pull off.

First I hit up the boutique and saw everything from boys in heels and animal prints to the one and only Dai Burger rocking some blue and purple hair, a black bikini, and a loose-knit maxi dress. Talk about FIERCE.

My favorite group of partygoers was this crew in their Joyrich X GIZA print jacket, Melody Ehsani X Keri Hilson No Boys Chain, lucite heels, and neon Cambridge Satchel. Pretty much all of my fash favorites wrapped into one photo.

After perusing the men’s section (which was heartier than I’ve ever seen it), I cashed out (sorry, savings account) and hit up Veselka for a cocktail and art fix. Scooter Laforge was in the house customizing T-shirts right before your very eyes, and the space was decorated with Pat Field swag and diamond encrusted marine life from Kevin McHugh.

I got there early, because as learned from years past, FNO is not a game. The crowd was off the hook, and the DJ—CC from House of Ladosha—was right ON POINT, dropping old-school Lil’ Kim mixed with new-school Ciara and Justin Timberlake then back to the classic Missy Elliott we all know and love.

Patricia herself arrived later to a warm welcome from the crowd, which included guest host and celebrity photographer Mike Ruiz.

OK, so let’s get down to the pics. I had my boy Jimmy from Mr.Gif drop by to get some extra-fresh shots of the party people, including Events Manager and House of Field Stylist, Russian Dennis.

There were many trends, too, like studded bow-ties and blinged-out ear cuffs. My favorite, though, was the Hannibal Lecter face mask look that we saw Breezy’s dancers rockin’ at the VMAs. The plus side of this trend? NO GERMS. WERK!
