Welcome back, Christina Ricci! Oh, how we've longed to see your always ADORABLE petite-girl style for what feels like sleepy, hollow EONS. Now, not only do we get to watch you ON A WEEKLY BASIS—in all your 1960s-coiffed glory—as part of the new TV series, Pan Am, we also get to copy your fall look courtesy of Nylon magazine's September issue. This IS a new look, right? We're assuming you've transitioned to a more NYC-friendly wardrobe as evidenced by your recent move to Brooklyn, but also due to MATURITY and an innate style eye for all things VINTAGE and FEMININE. So, Christina Ricci In NYLON mag, what else can you tell us about your cover girl transformation other than that it concerns mismatched prints and stripes?

Apparently, Miss R is not speaking back to us through the confines of our laptop screen. It appears as if we are typing to static images that DO NOT TALK OUT LOUD (except for in our head). SO, we're going to go ahead and infer what we can from these AH-MAZING Guy Aroch-shot photos in the pages of Nylon...

First of all, this cover outfit is the weirdest, COOLEST interpretation of a 1960s secretary transported to a '70s disco future. Look at those chevron striped ASOS shorts! Very Studio 54 a-go-go, no? But the office-girl Moschino shirt is clearly BEGGING the shorts to go to bed early, which is cheeky and cute. The pink Dandi Maestere earrings have us questioning our nearly constant usage of studs in favor of MEGA-DANGLES for fall, too, and the guitar takes this entire discoing secretary look and fast-forwards it straight to the urban indie paradise of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, circa NOW.

Hello, Pretty Bombshell Sailor! Hats are HUGE for fall, and we particularly ADORE this Navy-inspired hat by Anda & Masha who also, incidentally, styled this entire shoot. See how the simple addition of a kicky chapeau can enliven a basic, all-black look?

STRIPES!!!! We cannot stress this more, but stripes are always IN and also another MAJOR TREND for fall. This Topshop sweater with a sturdy white collar (collars = FALL TREND ALERT yet again) would work beautifully as a workday staple with tailored shorts, tights, and heeled loafers. We also love that Miss Ricci keeps it elegant with her flat-ironed side ponytail.

OK, stripes look FANTASTIC on you, Christina Ricci. We get it. Believe us, we want to open our mouths to the heavens, too, just thinking about how much we're OBSESSED with stripes of all shapes and sizes for fall. This thick, pink striped sweater is oddly colored yet so ULTRA-MODERN '60s KITTEN that we can envision it pairing nicely with a black leather skirt and our own CRAZY STRAIGHTENED hair (note to self: purchase portable flatiron for purpose of constantly maintaining crinkle-free locks). In fact, your entire time-traveling, trend-a-licious New York street style BONANZA is so inspiring, Christina R, that we're just going to carry on speaking to your photos as if you're right here, BFF-style 4-EVA, OK?
