• Forget about September, Vogue Japan lives in the future and is already pushing out its OCTOBER issue featuring Florence Welch from Florence and The Machine on the cover. Dressed in a tailored tuxedo complete with red jacket covered in multicolored dragons, we think this cover, regardless of the month, is one of the best we’ve seen lately. {via Oh No They Didn’t!}

Beyoncé wants you to “feel the power” of her “electric” new fragrance, Pulse. In the first commercial for the stark, modern-looking perfume, she walks down a futuristic runway with a look that says, “If you don’t wear this, I will EXTINGUISH your PULSE.” We’re both scared and intrigued. {via Kiss & Makeup}

Elle Fanning was out and about in L.A. rocking a Rolling Stones T-shirt and red Elton John glasses. We don’t know whether to call this look classic rock or reinvented modern retro. Maybe we can just call it cute. {via Just Jared}

• The first look of the new Alexa Chung for Madewell line reveals a muted mix of preppy basics that already has us desperate to see more from the September collection. Shot in and around Austin, Texas—the Music Capital of the World, FYI—the ads feature the permanently cool Alexa tiptoeing along some train tracks. {via People}

• The staff over at fashion website Racked.com decided to see what the gigantic, 758-page September issue of Vogue magazine could crush with the weight of its fashion (i.e., ad) heavy brilliance. Sadly, a bag of Goldfish fared better than a simple plastic cup. {via Racked}
