Emma Watson Shimmers In ‘i-D’ Magazine

Don’t think that just because our worlds crumbled catastrophically when Harry Potter ended earlier this summer that this would be the last time we’d ever see Emma Watson (Hermione, don’t go!!!) again. Our favorite brainiac wizardess is booked SOLID for the rest of the year with a new Marilyn Monroe movie and an edgy role in the upcoming teen rebellion flick The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Oh, and then there’s the new campaign for Lancôme cosmetics, which will soon gift us with L’eau d’Emma (aka Lancôme’s Trésor Midnight Rose perfume). Whatever will we do in the meantime? We can thumb through the glammed-up ’n’ golden photo shoot of Emma in the new September issue of i-D magazine for starters!

Even though the illustrious Kreayshawn is featured on the cover of the magazine’s “Pick Me Up” issue, the “Emma Watson is in bloom” piece is just as gasp-worthy. First of all, girl can wear red lips and nails like nobody’s BIZ. She even throws up her magical crimson power in a wink shot that showcases blinged-out rubies around her wrist. OK, who puts rubies next to pearls next to THOUSANDS OF GOLD SEQUINS? Emma W, that’s who, Muggles! (Or the stylist, obvs). But, seriously, these Mariano Vivanco shots of her making the sun weep with that bewitching smile while she frolics in an idyllic garden with a golden mini-me pup? These shots CAPTURE OUR SOULS DEMENTOR-STYLE, and we can’t seem to look away. Seems like i-D senses our fashion pain, though, and decides to throw in a classy black and white shot of Emma looking demure in a flouncy white ruffled dress topped with a black sweater and side-slicked hair. But it doesn’t work. We still want more.
