Hello, Chanel! Well, sort of. Karl Lagerfeld, the embodiment of what we here at Style like to term FASHUN (fashion said with a snap, a hair toss, a pursed-lip headshake), has stepped from his high throne, chez Chanel, and come down to party with us little people. And by party, we mean dress. And by dress, we mean dress well, with lots of separates and tweed suits and flippy colors as interpreted by Macy's. Basically, if you will, this is Coco Jr., and we mean that in such an excited, cannot wait to own something that the be-sunglassed, ponytailed impresario touched way.

The line debuts at Macy's at the end of August and will certainly be scooped up quickly (if its former Matthew Williamson collection is any indication). The prices range from a very un-Chanel—$49 (for a scarf)—to a slightly more costly (but arguably investment-worthy) tweed suit jacket at $149. Not bad for a graduate entering the business world. Ahem...Mom.

The swishy black dress with the white floppy contrast collar and little teensy tiny buttons is work-ready, dinner-ready, and when paired with flats, brunch-ready. Who knew Karl was so FUNCTIONAL?

The Kaiser dominates the punk-rock-is-business aesthetic, and he complements his simple leather and tee style by varying only the details, like fabric and delivery. Black faux-leather pants, high-necked tanks, and vests galore.

That said, the designer has provided some options for those more 9-5 among us, ladies who have put their pleather pants days behind them (i.e., no one in this office). Feminine capped sleeves and pale pinks are great daywear, and the fall wardrobe gets set up with longer jackets and neutral color-blocking. Not too bad, Uncle Karl. Not too bad at all.
