Fash Math: Marilyn Monroe + Dr. Seuss Character = Lady Gaga

Some days when you look at Lady Gaga’s outfits, you figure she and stylist Nicola Formichetti consult runes, set fire to chicken bones, or else pluck their eyeballs out and pour absinthe into the recesses in order to get the glimmer of inspiration for another gonzo ensemble. Other days you take one look at Monster Madre, concede that she “nailed it,” and know in your heart that she’s paying homage to an iconic yester-lady like Marilyn Monroe, except with a twist, given that she is nothing if not twisty.

The curveball here is, OH DOY, the addition of aesthetic cues from Dr. Seuss’ Thing 1! Or Thing 2…? Regardless, she looks marvelous in a robin’s egg blue curlicued coif, saturated red (ZOMG IS THAT CHINCHILLA? *dies*) fur, and diesel, artfully penciled brows.
