From the beginning seconds of the “Pon De Replay” and “SOS” music videos, when we got our first life-quaking glimpses of miles and miles of Rihanna’s luminescent skin, it was always kind of in the back of our minds that this scantily clad siren would do well as an underwear model. Nearly six years later, she has just been announced as the newest global face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans, proving that Armani does indeed bag the sexiest stars around. Riri joins a long list of HOTT (with two t’s) cherry-picked celebs who have represented the brand in the past, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafael Nadal, David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, and Rihanna’s direct predecessor, the ever-steamy Megan Fox. If Fox’s ads are any indication of the work Riri will be doing, may we all rest in peace when the campaign launches worldwide this September, as they’re sure to induce some sort of immediate brain/heart/interal organ malfunction.
