Remember when Anna Faris was in The Hot Chick? And The House Bunny? And made a career out of satirizing bubbly, buxom leading ladies with breathy voices and flowy blonde hair? This is decidedly the opposite of all of those things. In this newly shorn 'do, Anna looks more akin to that conjoined twin character Rachel Dratch used to play on Saturday Night Live in the aughts. You know, that frothy-mouthed runt twin with a babydoll arm growing through her buzz cut? Hulu that ish and thank me later. Anyhow, the point is, the new cut, albeit sweet and Tinkerbell-y, is a pretty big departure from the vixens we're used to her portraying.

The dark pixie is for her role in The Dictator, the new Sacha Baron Cohen film that's slated for release on May 11, 2012. It reportedly also features funnyman John C. Reilly and bombshell Megan Fox (Lord only knows what the makeup department has in store for her).

Of similar note to Anna's new homelier hairstyle is the bizarro casualwear featured in this film (that we've seen so far). The railroad-striped overalls situation Anna is sporting with the low-calf black boots in such a particularly unflattering width is, well offensive (will dungaree jorts AND olive Crocs and socks share a scene?). Weirdly though, the jheri curl mullet that Mr. Baron Cohen sports is fascinating in a way that merits closer inspection. Heinous style crimes aside, we're obviously going to be watching the (paper-bag-waisted disgusto) pants off of this movie.
