There comes a time in the life cycle of every young star when they are struck with the urge to throw their former baby-self under a bus and try to rebuild anew with a fresh, shiny "adult" image. We've seen it a million times: Selena looking all sexypoo at the Billboard Awards in cutout Dolce & Gabbana, Miley donning fishnet leotards and leather hotpants as stagewear, and now the middle Jo Bro with the great eyebrows is kicking off a solo gig and taking on a big-boy brand. Before leaving for his European tour, Joe Jonas is slated to appear at Calvin Klein Collection's men's show in Milan. But in this relationship, who is really helping who?

Fash-ists (Ed. Note: Oh! A pun!) be damned, out of Joe and CK, mayhaps the latter is reaping the most benefit. I mean, close your eyes and think hard about Calvin Klein. What do you see? Lots of black-and-white photography of sullen, hungry-looking waifs of people in garments that, though elegant, wouldn't really ever be worn by people who are actually real. Jonas, in all his playful charm, leaping and Heisman-ing over unseen toadstools, is a welcome and (here's the kicker) ACCESSIBLE departure from the brand's stodgy former image. While he may be trying to shed his teenybopper past, he thankfully breathes some much-needed youth into the staid Calvin Klein. Also, Joe + shiny leather pants = zomgyumyumslobberdrool.
