Fiery-haired powerhouse Florence Welch has garnered so much attention not only for her groundbreaking voice (girl can SANG), but her ethereal and vintage-inspired style. Or, as Florence puts it “half gothic bat crow winged fantasy, half golden ’70s Stevie Nicks white witch. And a smattering of disco go-go hotpants.” Yeahhhhh. BUT, as luck would have it, Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini met Florence at this year’s Grammys and was so “captivated by her presence” that she deemed her the inspiration for the autumn/winter 2011 campaign. Frida said Florence “has a powerful personality and an entrancing quality to her performances. She also has that confident and self-assured look that goes hand in hand with the Gucci woman.” WE AGREE, FRIDA. Let’s check out some of our fave Florence looks that inspire ALL of us to dress a little more beautifully.

Following in the footsteps of Gucci’s former models Rihanna, James Franco, and Mark Ronson, Florence she has some pretttttyyy huge shoes to fill, but we don’t doubt her for a SECOND. Just look at her how perfectly she wore this sheer layered Chanel dress that oozed sultry elegance during Paris Fashion Week. Florence also proved she can go pattern-heavy in a head-to-toe Givenchy ensemble and STILL look fierce. We also LOVED the Valentino floral dress she rocked at an Oscars afterparty because it look sososo elegant and made her red hair POP.

Also, this isn’t the first time fashion designers have been impressed by her amazing styleā€”check out Mulberry’s Spring 2011 show below. Hmmmmm…. something looks at tad FAMILIAR. All the models were fashioned after Ms. Florence herself (the red wigs are SO on point), which is totally awesome but also tad freaky. Ah, well. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?
