Our girl Kristen Stewart blew our minds when Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez (of the incredibly chic, totally New York label Proenza Schouler) named the Twilight princess their newest inspiration. All eyes focused on her for the Met Gala, where she showed up in a sizzlin' hot floor-length dress made by the duo, proving that she is not a whole lot like her wallflower of a character, Bella. So with the MTV Movie Awards allowing A-listers to exercise their sartorial chops, will Kristen come back with another Proenza creation? Here’s what we think:

The Spring/Summer collection was lauded as one of Proenza's most vibrant and ladylike collections to date, but in typical PS style, they make sure that—with every tweed suit—there is plenty of edge for the downtown New Yorkers that have come to rely on the label. Colors include hyper saturated yellows and bleeding blacks, and sleeves are see-through and pass over the hands (something we can see the still-teenage, brooding Kristen pull off with aplomb). We see why the designers dig the Stew Juice: her on-the-verge-of-womanhood grace is perfect for their aesthetic, which is Technicolored waif luxe. Imagine Kristen trying something wild like a mustard color, but still pulling her sleeves over her hands as she clutches Robert for some sense of security (Jack and Lazaro would be SO into that!). Or the see-through dresses that maintain their edge, but still have a fairly demure (for Movie Awards standards, that is) opaque slip underneath. She’d still be Twilight-appropriate, but send a nod to NYC cool kids that somewhere under her colt-like awkwardness and pointy knees is a girl who knows her stuff. Check out if we are right by coming back RIGHT HERE on Sunday night to watch us live blog the MTV Movie Awards. We'll only cry twice. We promise.

In 2009, K. Stew rocked a Yigal Azrouël mini-dress with a casual pair of chucks, and last year she went a little more mainstream with Dolce and Gabbana. Will she be able to pull off a womanly Proenza Schouler look?
