This weekend, singer/actress/cotton ambassador/mod-indie-fashion-beacon Zooey Deschanel and her super-cool-and-polished-and-accomplished friends, Sophia Rossi and Molly McAleer, soft-launched Hello Giggles. The trio tout the site as "the ultimate entertainment destination for smart, independent, and creative females," leading off with an adorbs short of real people giving interviews about Mother's Day gifting mishaps. (Note to self: Do NOT forget about Mother's Day!!!!) (Note to my mom who I KNOW is reading this: I would never forget!!!) You probs already know Zooey as the blue-eyed beauty from (500) Days of Summer/Elf/Almost Famous, but Sophia and Molly (better known as Molls) might be a little more of a mystery. Here's a little mini-breakdown of this dream team: Sophia is a producer (she worked on The Hills and The City!!), and Molls has been a videographer for Defamer/Gawker along with keeping up her own mega-popular blog (seriously, her following is out of CONTROL), so she's no stranger to the interwebz.

A short click over to the "About" page shows a heartfelt promise from the girls that reads like a classy-savvy digital version of a "NO BOYS ALLOWED" clubhouse sign: Everything you find at Hello Gigs (yes, I'm already affectionately abbreviating it) is going to be "lady-friendly." With only one video up right now, my overactive imagination is left to wonder what the upcoming posts hold in store. Here are some things I'm reeeeally crossing my fingers for: quirky/deadpan anecdotes that only the gender of sugar and spice can TRULY appreciate, unplugged She & Him performances, lots of bangs, red lips and doe-eyes, ironic pillow fights, and candid DIY videos for how to turn my apartment into an exact replica of an Anthropologie flagship store. Advanced apologies to anyone whose health/eyesight/masculinity is compromised by the amount of lace and decoupage I may soon have in my home. YAY! GIRLS RULE, BOYS DROOL!
