Inspiration Board: Top Five Pre-Fall 2011 Looks

The New York Fashion Week Fall 2011 collections won't show for another couple of months, but in the meantime, designers have been presenting their Pre-Fall collections, which are more commercial clothes designed to carry you over until the February ready-to-wear lines. This year's Pre-Fall collections saw a ton of menswear-inspired pieces, from crisp blazers to well-cut trousers in neutral shades like gray and beige. Here, our favorite five looks from Pre-Fall 2011...

Gray, black, and beige tones dominated Doo.Ri's collection, which featured gorgeous dresses and coats in fun cuts and geometric patterns. We love this beige-on-beige look for the crisp jacket collar and sophisticated pleating details on the dress.

Jason Wu designs with a feminine flair like no other—even when his collection is inspired by a menswear aesthetic. This sleek blouse has such a pretty color combination and looks fantastic paired with these wide-leg trousers.

Oscar de la Renta took home the prize for best use of color with a collection that included gorgeous greens, hot pinks, and regal reds. This fuchsia gown is just divine, and the gold chain belt adds a bit of glam.

Frills, and lace, and jewels, oh my! Temperley London's Pre-Fall 2011 collection was inspired by Spanish matadors. This dark purple shift stood out to us for its many details—sheer sleeves, a lovely lace overlay, and the shiny golden embellishments on the chest.

What would a "Top 5" list be without a bit of leopard print?! We are obsessed with the pattern, and this Carolina Herrera dress stunned us with its sleek silhouette and plunging neckline, which was framed gorgeously with pretty ruffles! Can't you just see Gossip Girl Blake Lively rockin' this?
