It only happens once a year—some brave souls pull out, dust off and proudly wear their cheesiest holiday-themed sweaters…in public. But why should grandma and kindergarten teachers have all the ugly-fashion fun? We recently spotted singers Cee Lo Green and Paramore’s Hayley Williams confidently decked out in the splashy garment. Cee Lo wore a blue cabin-ready sweater with a candy-colored scarf to the Jingle Bell Ball in London on Dec. 5, while Hayley performed at the 107.9 The End Jingle Ball in Sacramento on Dec. 3 in a sleeveless crocheted number plastered with gingerbread men appliqués. Oh, and then there’s the cast of Glee, who (save for Sue Sylvester) slipped into the tackiest knitwear they could find for their Glee Christmas card to promote their holiday album and Christmas episode, which aired last night. So, there you have it. If our fave celebs can wear ugly sweaters with Santa, snowmen and icicle decals stitched on the fronts (and backs…and sleeves), so can you! Happy Holidays, people.
