New York Fashion Week: The 9 Collections You'll Love

New York Fashion Week just wrapped last Thursday, and we’re still thinking about the gorgeous spring collections that designers sent down the runway. Some labels, including Preen and Alexander Wang, were defined by nude tones and flowy silhouettes, while other collections, such as Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. and Betsey Johnson leaned toward bright colors and bold prints. Here, we round up the nine most fun collections from the weeklong fashion fest (and don't forget to check out Whitney Port's entire collection here).

1. Betsey Johnson

What message was Betsey Johnson trying to send us when she sent every model down the runway with a collar necklace that read, "Ride Me"? Surprisingly, it was literal — she created a bike-inspired collection, and models carried wheels, bike chains, and helmets down the runway. Betsey Johnson herself even rode down the runway at the end of the show on a cruiser. As for the clothes, there were leotards, striped tights, and bra tops. So fun!

2. Marc By Marc Jacobs

Stripes were EVERYWHERE on the runway at the Marc by Marc Jacobs fashion show. They covered '70s-inspired dresses for ladies, as well as cute sweaters for boys. Marc Jacobs balanced some of the brighter yellows and oranges with gray blazers and skirts, too.

3. Charlotte Ronson

Charlotte Ronson, twin sister of DJ Samantha Ronson, presented a '90s collection with floral dresses, slouchy hoodies, and romantic peasant skirts. Nicky Hilton, 90210's Shenae Grimes, and Solange Knowles all showed up to support the designer in the stylish front row, while her twin Sam spun tunes for the event.

4. L.A.M.B.

No surprise here, but Gwen Stefani’s collection was an explosion of bright color and exotic prints! There were a ton of one-shoulder styles — on shirts as well as dresses — plus, cropped tops paired with loose trousers.

5. Christian Siriano

Christian Siriano has come a long way from his Project Runway days. But the drama and flair that the "fierce" designer is known for were all there in his spring collection, which was full of dresses crafted with exaggerated ruffles, bold prints, and sexy metallic fabrics.

6. Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang, known for his downtown aesthetic, presented a collection full of white, on everything from a minimalistic floor-length dress to a cropped denim vest. White paint even covered the models' hair! Singers M.I.A. and Lenny Kravitz were among the big names in the front row.

7. Tory Burch

Tory Burch presented feminine, chic tunics, dresses, and trousers in bright spring colors like coral, red, and yellow for her spring collection. Tory, who is known for her preppy, uptown vibe, caught a new megafan when Kanye West showed up to check out the designer's collection!

8. Tibi

Pretty dresses in festive patterns and bright colors like purple, yellow, and red were the mainstays of Tibi’s collection. And guess who sat in the front row? Known Tibi fan and City star Olivia Palermo. We can see Olivia wearing the entire collection!

9. Preen

Preen's collection, worn often by Hollywood starlets, is known for smart cutouts and body-conscious details. The spring lineup has all of those things and more, on light dresses and blazers in an entirely neutral color palette.
