Get The Look: Hollywood Ladies Are Still Trying To Make The Pouf Happen, Are You In?

Snooki may have let her hair down on last night’s premiere of Jersey Shore Season 2, but that didn’t stop Jessica Szohr, Heidi Klum, and Alison Pill from pushing theirs up. All three ladies stepped out with voluminous ’dos this week, because for some reason, Hollywood is trying to make the pouf happen. And rather than trying to stop it, we’re going to say WHY NOT.

Jessica’s half-up, half-down messy pompadour she wore to a CW event on Wednesday looked the most Snooki-esque, simply because of its height. Heidi wore a pin-up pouf on Wednesday, and the updo was a nice twist on the voluminous look. Then, Alison upped the pouf ante by throwing an accessory — a black satin ribbon — on the old-school bump she wore to the Los Angeles premiere of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World on Tuesday. (We’re calling this a bump rather than a pouf, but they’re very similar.) Want to pump it up? We say GO FOR IT, but try it in a more subtle way. Follow these tips from celebrity stylist Larry Sims of Salon Sims in Los Angeles (who has styled Queen Latifah and Victoria Beckham) below.

• Apply a dime size amount of heat protecting serum like Smooth N Shine’s Silk ’n Sleek Heat Protect Straighten Polisher ($4.99) on damp hair before blow drying to stop frizz.
• Section off the top of your hair from temple to temple. At the middle of the crown of your head, pop in Goody’s Simple Styles Volume Boost Comb ($6.49). The comb’s teeth give natural looking lift (not like the Bump-It).
• Lay your hair back over the comb, style and secure at the base with an elastic (the comb stays hidden in your hair). “The more undone the better,” says Sims.

+ Would you wear a pouf?

And, for fun, the most epic pouf of them all:
