Ghostface Killah Applauds Drake For Earning Wu-Tang New Fans

By Sowmya Krishnamurthy

Drake's "Wu-Tang Forever" has a huge fan in Ghostface Killah. The rapper thanks Drizzy for putting new, younger fans onto Wu-Tang and making the movement bigger.

Ghost tells Vlad TV, "He did what he did. There's probably some fans that climbed on. All through Europe, I had 9-year-old, 8-year-old babies that came to the shows knowing words. So it's like, what Drake did, he just made the movement more bigger. So, I ain't turning down no fans."

When the track initially dropped, it received mixed reviews from fans. Some applauded Drake for sampling Wu's 'It's Yourz" from the Wu-Tang Forever album while others thought it was blasphemy for him to sample from Wu's beloved catalog and title the track as he did.

As far as Ghostface Killah is concerned, he gives Drake love for adding onto the legacy. "This is Wu-Tang forever," Ghost said to VladTV. "He even said it. All he's doing is addin' on."

Raekwon has given the track his co-sign as well. "At the end of the day, regardless of what, we were mentioned in a great way," Rae told MTV News. "He named the title of his song after brothers, so however you did it, at the end of the day, it's still love. It's still respect there. I still thought the record was a great record, regardless of what."
