Kanye West may be a creative genius, but he still gives props to Jay Z. In a new interview with San Francisco's 106KMEL, Ye praised his big brother's diplomatic social skills and said he wanted to learn from him.

“One of the reasons that I did Watch The Throne with Jay wasn’t just to do a dope album, which we did, it was because Jay Z has the best social skills of anyone that I know,” Ye said. “Of anyone that I knew at that time. And I wanted to learn from him…Just to knock the edge off and learn from Jay."

Ye has become infamous for that edge. His outspoken antics, from his comments about former President George Bush during a Hurricane Katrina telethon to crashing Taylor Swift's acceptance speech during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, have gotten the Chicago star in hot water more than once.

In 2009, President Barack Obama reportedly called Ye a "jackass" and when later asked which Throne member he preferred, the Prez openly chose Hov.

After learning from Jay Z, how does Kanye feel about his social skills now? According to his KMEL interview, Kim Kardashian is his new social muse. "And then God has now given me another master of the social skills, my girl. She’s like the number one socialite in the world," he gushed.
