As if being an "American Idol" host and a quadruple platinum hip-hop artist wasn’t enough, Nicki Minaj can now add fashion designer to her resume.
Joining the ranks of other beauties like Selena Gomez and Sofia Vergara, the “Starships” singer debuted the “Nicki Minaj for Kmart” collection today that includes everything from a price-conscious Barb could want from Rihanna-esque gold stud earrings ($4.99) to a full-on baby pink velour tracksuit that Miss Minaj models herself.
Citing Versace, Herve Leger and Chanel as her inspirations, Nicki calls her line “fashionable and sexy” and told "Good Morning America" that she wanted to “take Kmart to another level.” Nicki's fans will be thrilled to hear that the rapper said we can expect new music in 2014, though she would not specify exactly when.
Luckily for us, Future recently revealed on "RapFix Live" that Nicki would be featured on his sophomore album set to be released early next year so we won’t have to wait long. If you decide to go out and buy pieces from the line (also available on shopyourway.com) the Queen Barb only has one piece of advice… “work it!”
