Balling on and off the court is standard for the chain-draped members of Maybach Music Group, who wagered a whopping $120K in a friendly free throw contest during BET Hip Hop Awards weekend, on the home court of Rick Ross’ Atlanta mansion.
The bet was originally set at a modest $10k between DJ Khaled and French Montana for the best out of five shots. But, before the game took off, Meek Mill and Ross joined in on the competition increasing the pot to the grand $120K.
Surround by what looked to be and endless crowd of courtside spectators, each rapper brought their A-game and sly remarks to the line. With each missed jump shot came a series of laughable moments and anticipation for the following round. As Khaled took the lead somewhere around round 2, a competitive Ricky Rozay made his way to the line determined continue his recent winning streak.
Last month Ross won cool $1 million from Forbes richest rapper, Diddy, in a dice game. The hip-hop mogul responded with a post to instagram saying, "I just lost a million dollars. It ain't nothin#SuckMyD--kBitch" and shared a shot of the handwritten contract the two drew up while in the studio, recording Big Homie. Rozay took to twitter with, "I just won a Milli from @iamdiddy Go to my Instagram Now: Richforever."
As they suffer from success Khaled, Ross, Mill, and Montana make it clear that cash is no issue and that their steep gambling is all in good fun. With all three rounds caught on tape, watch the pot grow and look to see who takes home the winnings and bragging rights.
