Yeezy taught me… Kanye West would be proud of Marina Shifrin, a woman who quit her job by using Taiwanese animator, Next Media Animation, to film herself performing an interpretive dance to ’Ye’s “Gone.”
Time shares that the disgruntled employee chucked the deuces to her employer with a video she filmed while at work at 4:30am. “My boss only cares about quantity and how many views each video gets,” she complains in scrolling text over her resignation. She ends the video with the words “I’m quit!” and then finally, “I’m gone.”
According to Twitter, Marina’s boss has accepted her resignation. “just seen your video, greatest thing ever!! What was your bosses response?” asked a fan to which Marina responded, “I accept your resignation.”
Kanye has talked about his own horrible bosses in his music. The fan favorite “Spaceship” from College Dropout has Ye rapping about his days in retail working at the Gap. “If my manager insults me again I will be assaulting him/After I f— the manager up then I’m gonna shorten the register up/Let’s go back, back to the Gap/Look at my check, wasn’t no scratch,” he raps.
