Gucci's sentence stems from a variety of parole violations, including firearm possession and marijuana possession, following his September 14 arrest. A list of charges can be seen courtesy of Rap Radar.
Gucci was arrested on September 14 after a friend reportedly called authorities over the rapper’s erratic behavior. The AJC reports that officers found Gucci walking outside at 1 am and when approached, was “increasingly agitated with officers and began cursing and threatening them.” He was arrested then.
Just weeks ago, Gucci took to Twitter to issue a formal apology for his recent antics and it seemed that things were looking up. "Woke up the other day out this hospital bed & I'm so embarrassed & ashamed of my behavior that was brought to my attention," he tweeted. The rapper blamed his recent harsh words on fellow rappers and the music industry to his addiction to syrup or "lean."
He continued, "I'm currently incarcerated but I will be going to rehab because I need help. I wanna thank everyone that has stood by me" and then went on to ask forgiveness from Birdman, Rick Ross and Drake. "I wanna personally apologize to birdman ross & drake. Dem my n----s. I 100% regret my words & actions."
