They say you can’t go home again. Unless, you’re Solange. (To be honest, there’s not much Solange can’t do.) The fashionista and singer (as well as our imaginary best friend) headed home to Houston, Texas for her new “Lovers In A Parking Lot” music video.
The video finds Solange, doing her signature adorable dance moves and sporting awesome-as-always picks from her wardrobe (lots of cool prints, to say the least), as she sings the track in an abandoned indoor flea market and a parking lot.
The visual was co-directed by the singer along with Peter J. Brant and Emily Kai Bock. She even enlisted Bun B and Mannie Fresh to make some cameos in the clip. Why Bun B? Well parts of the clip take place at King’s Best, the mall where the UGK rapper used to work.
Solange opened up about the dreamy clip to the Creators Project, who premiered the visual. She said, “Pretty much every phase of growing up there was something attracting me to King's flea market. It just feels so natural to tell these stories in a place that’s inspired so many of them.”
