Childish Gambino Teases Mockumentary In Odd Trailer With Chance The Rapper, Trinidad Jame$

Childish Gambino recently announced his return to music with "Centipede," and this week he puts his acting skills to work in a strange and intriguing teaser clip.

On Tuesday (July 30) Gambino randomly tweeted the link to the bizarre video, only adding, “director’s cut next week.” In the clip titled “clapping for the wrong reasons [internet version],” he's seen bouncing a basketball up and down the stairs in a mansion and showing off his karate skills on the front lawn.

Trinidad James and Chance The Rapper were caught playing a very intense game of Connect Four and the video also featured a cameo from "Boy Meets World star," Danielle Fishel.

The 50-second visual appears to be a trailer for a “mockumentary” that Gambino is filming. The mockumentary is apparently about the rapper’s stay in a hilltop mansion located in the Pacific Palisades, where he is currently recording his new album.

Fans can expect to see more of “The Temple’s surreal shenanigans” in the full version said to release next week. According to Chance (via Dazed and Confused), we can look forward to something exclusive. “…The rules of the Temple are clear: ‘No shoes. No tweeting or Instagramming. Work starts at 10am," he told the magazine.

Although his motives are unclear, it seems as though whatever Gambino is about to produce will be dope. Check out the teaser above.
