J. Cole Is Confident About His 'Crooked Smile' On TLC Collaboration

After teasing for a few weeks that he'd locked down a very special collaboration on his sophomore album Born Sinner, J. Cole finally revealed at the end of May that it was TLC he'd teamed up. On Monday (June 3) "Crooked Smile" was finally released, with Cole paying his respects on Twitter.

"Thank you T-Boz and Chilli. RIP LEFT EYE," he tweeted, as the single hit the net.  T-Boz and Chilli hold down the chorus while Cole spits some inspirational verses that sound like a continuation of the story TLC wanted to share with girls on their hit "Unpretty." In addition to addressing the pressures that women face, the Roc Nation rapper wraps in his own issues to really make the message hit home.

"I keep my twisted grill just to show the kids it's real," Cole spits, explaining that he opted not to fix his "crooked smile" just to prove a point. "We ain’t picture perfect, but we worth the picture still."
