This week Kelly Rowland introduced a new song off of her upcoming album, Talk A Good Game. The “Kisses Down Low” songstress tapped former group mates, Beyoncé and Michelle Williams to sing on “You’ve Changed," a bouncy R&B track about changes that take place in a relationship.
While many fans would classify this record as a Destiny’s Child single, Kelly Rowland has been very vocal in defining the collaboration. In April, she told Billboard, “It's not a Destiny's Child track. It's me featuring Beyoncé and Michelle."
It's clear that Kelly is focused on distinguishing herself as a solo artist. The upcoming release of her album on June 18, a successful tour with The-Dream, and a seat at the judges table on the hit show "X Factor" are just a few of her upcoming projects that prove her independence and achievements outside of Destiny’s Child.
Although Ms. Rowland wants to steer clear of any Destiny’s Child associations for now, it’s worth noting that this is the second new single to be released this year featuring all three members of the group. The first single, a Pharrell-produced track entitled “Nuclear," debuted back in January during the release of Love Songs, a Destiny’s Child compilation album. Perhaps, this means we may hear more from the Grammy award winning trio in the future.
