When Waka appeared on “RapFix Live” back in March, Flocka said he will never work with his mentor, but now Gucci says that he and Waka can sort it all out.
“There was more of a miscommunication and things got misconstrued. But we got too much of a good thing. Whatever we got to work out, we always work it out,” the Trap God told XXLMag.com in an interview published on Monday (May 27) after revealing that he will include Flocka on tracks that will appear on his Brick Squad group album that will drop this summer.
On March 15, Gucci took to Twitter to announce that he dropped his protege Waka from Brick Squad, but days later reps for the rapper claimed his account was hacked. “Waka flacka flames officially dropped off brick squad 1017. Big Guwop say give me a offer fa this disloyal lil n—,” he wrote.
“Nah, that Twitter wasn’t hacked because we had a conversation before that. Real aggressive words like, ’N—a let’s get up, let’s do this,’ ” Waka said when he appeared on “RapFix Live” on March 27.
Flocka didn’t rule out reconciling with Gucci, but he did say that they’d never do music. “It ain’t gonna never be no business, ever in life. No music or nothing,” he vowed. “I don’t feel nothing he say out his mouth. It ain’t real.”
It is unclear whether the music that Gucci referenced in his XXLMag.com interview is new material or recorded prior to March.
